The SmartMan Airway Management Training System is designed to Train and Improve Performance of Invasive and Non-Invasive Airway Procedures and Skills.

SmartMan’s Lifelike Airway Management Simulator provides the structure of the pharynx and trachea. It is made of advanced materials to simulate a real person, enabling the student to identify correct landmarks and properly place the device. The physically accurate simulation and location of mouth, teeth, tongue, pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, vocal cords, trachea, esophagus with usable lungs for both non-invasive and invasive procedures. The lungs are within a thorax to provide natural resistance on inhalation and exhalation to add further authenticity to the training. It is a great way to learn how to establish and maintain a patent airway.

Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System is a proprietary V4EMS technology. It is only found on advanced SmartMan CPR Training systems. This technology provides accurate measurement, excellent physical feel and real time digital display of the movement of air in and out of the lungs during performance of CPR.

Non-Invasive Ventilation

BLS Airway. This product provides the highest quality, state of the art training available to practice how to correctly provide a patient with air through use of a Bag Valve Mask (BVM). This is a widely required skill for many conditions from conscious sedation to respiratory distress and is especially important when dealing with COVID-19 patients.

Non-invasive procedures require attaining a correct seal, correct lifting and tilting of head to open the airway. It is also extremely important to deliver the correct volume of air over the correct amount of time. The included thorax provides very realistic pressure when squeezing the BVM to provide a high quality learning experience. The digital feedback provide an accurate graph and time for the volume and rate at which the BVM was squeezed and gives the user a record of their performance for their review.

Accurate Rate and Volume. SmartMan provides you with realistic chest resistance as you squeeze the BVM. Also is calibrated so it records and displays accurate information on volume and rate.

Invasive Ventilation

Intubation. Invasive procedures require correct positioning of the head and correct identification of landmarks in the airway. This simulator has proper visual landmarks and requires the correct positioning of the head. It is suitable for endotracheal tubes (ET), orotracheal tubes, and other extra laryngeal devices. It is recommended to use the following sizes when training with this Airway Management Trainer: Endotracheal tube 7.0 or 7.5 mm and Laryngeal mask, sizes 3 and 4..

Feedback. This simulator will provide feedback on the intubation process itself and will provide the time it takes to place the advanced airway device. It will ask check to verify that the cuff is not leaking. The software is plug and play with free updates, no user fees and no requirement to register. Internet is not required and batteries are not required unless the wireless version is ordered. SmartMan features state of the art feedback with visual color feedback during ventilations to display performance information related to volume, rate of airflow, and the time between ventilations. You always receive a score on your performance and visual Feedback can be turned on and off with the click of a single button.

High Fidelity Airway
This manikin is suitable for practicing intubation with an ET Tube and most other paralaryngeal devices. It requires a correct head tpositioning (sniffing position), and proper sighting of the landmarks in order to locate the correct location to insert the tube.

Real Time Ventimeter
The high degree of accuracy of SmartMan means that we can measure and display the movement of the air into the lungs as it occurs. It will be true to the volume and rate of flow.
